Making Government Work in Middletown

The Middletown Public Library will be presenting a series of workshops entitled “Making Government Work in Middletown.”
The workshops will provide an opportunity to learn more about the governing framework of the Middletown community and the various activities that support the town.
The six workshops to be conducted on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 PM will include:
“Middletown – Its Citizens, Its Values, Its Government” on Sept. 6
“Middletown Government – Town Charter” on Sept. 13
“Middletown Government – Structure and Services” on Sept. 20
“Middletown Government – Strategic Planning” on Oct. 4
“Middletown Government – Finance, Budget, and Taxes” on Oct. 11
“Making a Difference in Middletown” on Oct. 18.
Discussions will be moderated by Barbara A. VonVillas, who has a life-long understanding of Middletown and has contributed more than 35 years of public service to the community.
Registration is not required. It is preferred but not mandatory that all workshops are attended in order to understand the scope of the series.
